My Heart is All Full Up with Love

At 12:59 AM, Pacific time yesterday, my gorgeous nephew joined us in the world.

My brother called at 8:30 yesterday morning to let me know his son had arrived, that he is healthy, and that he and Mama are well.  Pictures would arrive soon, he promised, but Mama and baby were asleep, having had a busy night.

My day was spent with a big smile.  All I have been able to think of is this new little spirit who chose my family to join. When I got home (finally) from work, my brother had sent a couple of pictures and I opened them with happiness, joy, and much anticipation.

Through my tears, I can tell you, he is absolutely beautiful. I fell in love with him the second I saw his gorgeous little face.  Eyes closed, mouth relaxed and little tiny fingers curled to the palms of his little tiny hands, he’s the most perfect baby I have ever seen.  I think he looks like my brother.  Yes, I know it’s too soon to tell who he will take after, but it’s there in his sweet little face. My brother. My nephew.  My family.

.My heart is full to overflowing. Life couldn’t possibly get any better than this.
